Sugar Pine
The Grand Sugar Pine Tree
Sugar Pin or Pinus Lambertiana.The sugar pine is the tallest and largest Pinus species. Second in height to the Giant California Redwood. The Sugar Pine tree commonly grows to 40–60 meters (130–195 ft) tall. In some case exceptions have been found tall as 82 m (269 ft) tall. Trund Diameters range from 1.5–2.5 m (4 ft 11 in–8 ft 2 in), exceptional tree trunks grow to 3.5 m (11 ft 6 in).
The Sugar Pine Tree Grows through out the Western United States Costal States. California, Nevada, Oregon and even in the Baja Region of Mexico Mountains.
The tree sap was used by Native American Indians as a sweetener and prefered by some over maple sap as a sweetener.

Western Red Alder
The Prolific Alder Tree
With a few exceptions, alders trees found nearly world wide. We use wood from the The Western Red Alder tree. Western Alnus Rubra is the largest of the Alder Genus growing to 30 meteres tall. This specific species is found growing the lower California coasts and inland to the upper regions of the western pacific coast and inland of Canada. The entire species are prolific in their wide ranging growing areas. Circling the globe. The Alder tree is a renewable source of building and furniture grade material. Leaves range from simple leaf form to and serrated edges.
